How we collect information:
All information we collect is provided to us directly from the customer or franchisee applicant. We do not utilize cookies or other forms of technology to collect individual information without the explicit permission of the individual whose information is being collected. Information is collected primarily through three areas: 1.) Online Franchise Applications, 2.) our “Contact Us” page on our web site, and 3.) our Marble Mail program, including the official fan club of Marble Slab Creamery. The Marble Mail program information may be collected through in-store sign-up slips, sign-up through our web site or online form, or from an e-mail that you may receive from a friend.
What type of information we collect:
From Prospective Franchisees:
The information that we collect on our request for franchise information form includes contact information: first name, last name, address, phone number; geographic area of interest, and financial viability. Our policies provide that prospective franchisees need to meet minimum liquid capital and net worth requirements.
For sign up to our Marble Mail program:
We collect first name, last name, birth day, and e-mail address. We collect additional information through a preference page, once sign-up is finalized. That information includes zip code, favorite ice cream flavor, what type of items you buy, and how often you visit Marble Slab Creamery. This information is not essential to participate in the Marble Mail program and does not need to be filled out to continue receiving our mailings.
How we use the information:
For the franchisee submission page:
This information is shared with the internal franchisee development team only, so they can contact the prospective franchisee.
For the Marble Mail program:
We utilize information to send customers e-mails that include new flavor introductions, special offers, fun & games, store events, customer surveys, grand openings and Marble Slab Creamery news. In addition, birthdays are used to provide a special birthday offer or reward! We may personalize this reward depending on the customer’s preferences. Customers will not receive these e-mails unless they have opted-in to receive them. Parents of children under 13 are notified via e-mail of their child’s participation. This notification includes a link to the child’s preference information, so they can have access and review their child’s information as they deem fit. The message also includes an unsubscribe link. Parents have the right to not consent to their child’s participation by unsubscribing them to the e-mail program.
From time to time, we may send out customer surveys as part of this program or post surveys on our site. As with all the information we collect, information received in surveys is not posted on our site or shared with outside third parties. The information will primarily be used in aggregate by our Manager to help improve our service, our ice cream, and our marketing efforts.
