GREAT AMERICAN COOKIES, MARBLE SLAB CREAMERY OPENING JOINT STORE IN BRASELTON

Is there anything better than free cookies and ice cream sandwiches?

The new Great American Cookies/Marble Slab Creamery at 6323 Grand Hickory Drive, Suite 100-E in Braselton, will hold its grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.

And, yes, that means free ice cream sandwiches for the first 100 customers and 20 free cookie cakes at the top of each hour.

A ribbon cutting ceremony with music by a DJ will take place at 4 p.m. Officials said the festivities will also include a costume party for children and a cookie cake decorating station.
